To be able to deliver driving lessons you not only have to have a calm disposition, but you must enjoy what you do and take as much from it as the pupils do. For much of my life I worked in the Oil & Gas industry dealing with many clients and thousands of contractors I knew I was a people person and learned that I had the right personality to communicate with all kinds of people from various walks of life. It was this skill that helped me to decide that I would like to begin a new career as a driving instructor. This would allow me to be at home every day with my family, my gorgeous wife and three children.
I trained with LDC and thankfully with hard work I passed all my exams first time. Things have gone from strength to strength since. After a successful start with LDC I decided to set up on my own with Stewart’s Driving School. Over the years I have been privileged to train some amazing people. People with learning difficulties, language limitations, nervous learners, older drivers looking for refresher courses, cocky teenagers as well as apprehensive teenagers and everyone in between.
One quality that I pride myself on is having a good sense of humour and although learning to drive is a serious matter I always strive to keep the atmosphere in the car light and try to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone by having a few laughs along the way.
